WF Pride: Positive Attitude and Passion for Life and Work

Walther Farms Positive Attitude and Passion for Life and Work

‘We don’t stop laughing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop laughing.’   I saw this little inspiration quote last week and couldn’t stop thinking about it.   It makes me think of the laughter of children.  They have no care in the world, are stress free and love life.  Remember when you were a little kid and you laughed at everything?   My 13 year old daughter gets these ‘giggle’ fits where she can’t stop laughing and giggling – no one really knows what she’s laughing at, but it’s so cute and innocent.

We all could use more laughter in our lives,  but we get caught up in the game of life where stress and anxiety from bills, kids, marriage, health issues, work, etc.… wear on us over time.   We find ourselves struggling to laugh and smile like we used to.   But there are some people that no matter their situation or lot in life, always have a smile on their face.  They don’t let the trials of this world get them down or break their will.  They make a conscious choice to smile every day at everyone.  They choose to be positive and let others see their passion for life and work bleed through.  I think we could all take lessons from them.

The bible tells us that God causes everything to work together for good.  It tells us to give our worries and cares to him.  And if we truly believe that God is in control of all things, including our lives, then that alone should make us smile and feel good because his plans are greater than our plans.  There are those that only laugh and smile when things are perfect and in order in their lives.  But we live in a fallen, broken and imperfect world.  We are all going to go through trials and tribulations in our life. They are intended to grow and perfect us – to get us to rely on God in all things.  Knowing this should be all we need to be positive and passionate about life.  I’m not going to stop laughing and smiling.  How about you?

Romans 8:28 ~ And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

1 Peter 5:7 ~ Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

James 1:2 ~ Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.

“Dear Lord, help us be positive about everything in our lives – the good and the bad.  Help us smile and laugh more knowing you are in control of all things and that you have a great plan for our lives.  It’s in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.”
