The first record of cultivating potatoes can somewhere between 8,000 and 5,000 BC in Peru by the Inca Indians. In the few thousand years that have followed, potatoes have become a staple of our diet, and of course, big business for farmers, including the Walther Farm in Windsor, SC.
The Walthers have been farming potatoes since the 1940’s, and now are one of the largest growers of the spud, working with most of the major producers of everything from potato chip makers to French fry producers. Read More…
