When Susan joined the South East Walther Farms Team in the spring of 2012 their office side of things (bills, p.o.’s and relation with headquarters) needed sprucing up. Susan has turned that around and made them much more organized and efficient. This is greatly appreciated by the South East team and Headquarters. With her background in potatoes and significant experience as related to shipping and quality control activities Susan quickly settled into her role as the Shipping and Office Manager. This has taken pressure off of the shipping team in Michigan who use to send people throughout harvest to help manage this. Susan sacrifices a lot for us during harvest, spending almost four months of the year on the road managing shipping, plant and truck relations. he was recently assigned the task of tracking tractor idle time farm wide which has proven to be a great asset for all areas. As much as her professional background and job performance qualify Susan for recognition, she also possesses inherent character traits that help her, and thereby the Southeast Team excel. Susan is an organized, driven, and loyal member of the Walther Farms Family. Her positive attitude and willingness to sacrifice and serve are only a few of examples of how Susan lives our core values on a daily basis.
